JUMP ROPE CLUB
  Jump Rope Club will start this Wednesday.  Any 5th, 6th or 7th grader can attend.  It will be every Wednesday from 3:30 – 4:30 at Cridersville school.

Congratulations to the 2nd 9 weeks Phys. Ed classes.  They have raised $486.13 so far.  Total for the year is:  $1,838.84.

The Octagon Club, a service group at the High School will be participating in a "Coats for Kids" drive to collect winter coats for children and adults who are in need.  There will be a collection barrel near the main entrance of the Middle School until December 5th.  Please place used or new coats.   PLease consider two pillars of character, caring & citizenship.  Ask your mom or dad if you have a winter coat at home that you no longer need.

FRATERNAL ORDER OF EAGLES GOD, FLAG, and COUNTRY SPEECH CONTEST:
 
Once again, we are urging students in grades 5, 6 & 7 to participate in the Fraternal Order of Eagles God, Flag, and Country Speech Contest.  Our school can send 2 students to the local competition per age group.
Please pick up a packet from the attendance office if you would like to participate in this speech contest.  The local contest will be held on Feb. 22nd at the Eagles Annex on Auglaize Street in Wapakoneta. 
Internal tryouts will take place in the auditorium from 12:56-1:40 as follows:
5th grade - Feb. 3rd
6th grade - Feb. 4th
7th grade - Feb. 5th
 
*L.A. and Social Studies teachers are to urge students to participate in this speech contest.  See Mrs. Bidwell if you have any questions.

The Jr. High Wrestling Team finished 1st in the Sidney Invitational and 2nd at the WBL Dual Meet Tournament over Christmas Break.  Congratulations.  Trophies are in the main office at the Middle School.

YEARBOOK COVER DESIGN CONTEST:  Students interested in designing the cover for the 2008-2009 yearbook should pick up an entry form from Mrs. Otto by Wednesday, January 7th.
